Dear members,
Good day, salam 1 Malaysia, 1 Vet and 1 VAM. We are now in the middle of the year and many things have taken place. Too many people go through life waiting for things to happen instead of making them happen. Lot of us aspire but when it comes to perspiration, we fail to make the cut. If you want to be part of cream de la cream you need to have inspiration (10%) followed by perspiration (90%). Don’t wait for things to happen, make things happen. In fact, there are plenty of things to work on except we are short of hands to move things. I express my heartfelt thanks to all those who have contributed in one way or another in making a success of the following events.
Firstly, we are so excited to announce our VAM website is now been redesigned, transformed & updated with even the payment gateway. It will become our main means of communication and building relationship with our members, colleagues and the public. I hope it will be one of the ways to facilitate greater interaction and discussion. It will go a long way to strengthen our fraternity and to advance the profession.
Secondly, I foresee there are many exciting events to come latter part of the year, including the 25th Annual General Meeting and VAM Congress on 13-15Sept 2013 at Hotel Desaru, Johor Bahru & Livestock Asia Exhibition, 24-26 Sept 2013 at KLCC. The launch of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program on a trial run basis as mandated by Malaysian Veterinary Council (MVC). The CPD point system for renewal of Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) is essential for the veterinarians to keep their knowledge and skills current so that they can deliver high quality service in order to safeguard the public, meets the expectations of customers and the requirements of the profession. We can foresee there will be teething problems initially but we must commit to resolve this as it has been long overdue. We hope you will find this CPD system engaging and fun too in your area of work.
Thirdly, the business arm of VAM, has made some in road in the Pet passport, organizing Health seminars, career clinics and Artificial Insemination Program under EPP5. We will be working really hard in smart partnership with DVS, collaboration with foreign principles on representation on key products and to put to other resources in our business ventures.
Finally, If you have any useful ideas or wants to contribute, please contact us directly. Please register yourself with us and to post us your thoughts, ideas, feedback, question, news or any other information in our webpage.
